The commencement of Mel Gibson’s comeback begun in earnest today, as the New York Post is reporting that the vulgar zealot and What Women Want star will have a cameo in the sequel to The Hangover, The Hangover 2. “It’s a done deal. Mel will make a cameo as a tattoo artist,” a source told the tabloid. “Filming is taking place on the Warner Brothers lot, where a Bangkok set has been built, and Mel is expected to film his role in two weeks. Then the production moves to Thailand at the end of October.” According to IMDb, Gibson has two other films on the way: The Beaver, the plot of which is described by the Web site as one in which a “guy walks around with a puppet of a beaver on his hand and treats it like a living creature,” and How I Spent My Summer Vacation, which is about a “career criminal (Gibson) nabbed by Mexican authorities [who] is placed in a tough prison where he learns to survive with the help of a 9-year-old boy.”
