Fatherhood and Gucci for Children

November 8, 2010

As a soon to be husband, my thoughts often invariably turn to an eventuality of marriage- children. How will they be dressed? What will I do if Jonathan Ho junior only loves his Batman t-shirt and chooses it as his daily uniform? Do I draw the line at the sailor outfit?

Don’t get me wrong, I like cutesy prints as much as the next husband/father-to-be. Sure, an Elmo print here, Where’s Wally there, that’s all well and good but nothing tickles me more than kids dressed in miniature versions of adult couture- Show me someone who doesn’t think a 5 year old boy in a tuxedo looks adorable and I’ll show you a liar.

Gucci for Children

Combining Creative Director Frida Giannini’s vision with traditional Italian craftsmanship, Gucci has launched a fairly versatile, refined and not to mention, incredibly stylish line of children’s wear for Gucci boys and girls.

The collection encompassing toddlers aged 0 to 24 months and children from 2 to 8 years, the iconic Gucci details and heritage icons like the horse bit, the web, the double G monogram, Gucci logo and Flora print can all be found on the range of children’s clothes, shoes and accessories (belts, scarves, ties, belts, jewelry and sunglasses).

Children are a reflection of the parents

People often say that children are a reflection of their parents; with children dressed in classic Gucci pieces like the suede trench and leather biker jacket, no one can say that little Jonny has an unstylish unclassy father.
